For companies and organizations
Sponsor Tillyard
Companies and organizations can sponsor a research question, a project or the platform. Start with the short form below.
Host a project or a big question
Post something you would like students to work on: a question your field has not answered, or a problem a team could take on in a few weeks. Students from any college form teams and send in their findings. You choose winners and pay any prizes yourself.
- You write the question, what a good answer looks like and the judging criteria. We help you word them, and our board approves the project before it opens.
- Every finding is published on the project page for everyone. You read them to judge them, and you cannot hold one back.
- Teams keep ownership of their work and license it to everyone under CC BY 4.0.
- You pick winners for each prize through a private link we email you. You pay the prizes yourself. Tillyard does not hold or pay them.
- You are thanked by name in one line. Hosting a project costs nothing.
To start, choose "A project" or "A research question" below and tell us what you have in mind.
How sponsorship works
- You are thanked by name in one line, the same way as every sponsor, with no slogans, calls to action or prices.
- We do not endorse sponsors, and sponsors cannot make comparisons or price claims here.
- Sponsors never decide which papers are published or what a review says. On a sponsored project every team's findings are published, and the sponsor picks the prize winners and pays the prizes itself.
- A sponsored project is labelled "Sponsored project". Students keep their rights to their work and share their findings under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
- We may decline any sponsor.
Anything agreed is arranged in writing and paid by invoice. We never ask for card or bank details in this form.
