Student groups
How student groups work here
A student group's page at your college, kept by its officers. It shows who leads the group, when it meets and what it does.
What a group page is
A page records a student group that already exists on its campus. Two officers from the same college make it: one registers the group and a second confirms it. Only students at that college can see the page. Every group's page looks the same, with no logos, seals or mascots.
Where the site stands
Tillyard did not start these groups and does not run them, speak for them or check them against a campus directory. Tillyard is not affiliated with or endorsed by any college. Names that borrow Tillyard's own words, or claim to be official, are refused.
How roles are confirmed
Anyone at the college can say they hold a role, such as Treasurer, for a stated term. Another officer of the group presses one button to confirm it. A confirmed role goes on the holder's Record a week after the entry becomes active, saying how many officers confirmed it and that Tillyard did not check it. Anyone who confirmed a role can take their confirmation back.
When a term ends
Every role has a term. A month before it ends, the holder is asked whether to stay on, hand the role to someone or step down. If they do not answer, the role ends on its date. The page keeps who held each role and when.
If something is wrong
Every entry and every role has a Report link. If a role is wrong, anyone can dispute or correct it. The role is marked as disputed on The Record while Tillyard may look at it.
